Norris Academy works with residents who have co-occurring Psychiatric diagnoses as well as chronic diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disabilities and other Neurodevelopmental disorders. Our residents must have been unsuccessful in less restrictive environments including biological homes, foster homes, group home settings or other community-based environments. Required criteria include (but are not limited to):
- Males and Female, Ages 6-17 years old
- Diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum, Intellectual Disability or other Neurodevelopmental disorder
- Less intensive and less restrictive clinical settings have been attempted without success and/or have been ruled out due to safety concerns
- Evidenced need for highly structured environment due to inability to maintain stability in a community setting
- Parent/guardian must consent to treatment and is able/willing to participate in treatment as clinically necessary
- May consider complex medical needs on a case-by-case basis
